Want to make a difference to the lives of young people accessing our Triple Care Farm service? Ever wondered what it would be like to abseil down a 33 storey Sydney skyscraper?  Well here's your chance!
 

Abseil for Youth raises funds for a very important Mission Australia service, Triple Care Farm, which helps young people to overcome drug and alcohol addiction along with many other complex issues in their lives.  Young people from Triple Care Farm will also come and abseil this year, so it will be great for Mission Australia staff to join them and, in turn, help them overcome some of the fears these young people face in their day-to-day lives.
 

We need a minimum of 10 enthusiastic, passionate Mission Australia staff who are up for a challenge and / or might be looking to tick off an item on their bucket list!  Even those that might be scared of heights, this is a great event to overcome your fear and really get a sense of accomplishment on a personal level, but also for those in need.  No experience or abseiling equipment is required, this is all provided to participants on the day, including a safety briefing and practice.
 

Abseil for Youth 2015 event information and team criteria:
 

• • Event dates – Thursday 15 October to Saturday 17 October 2015, from 9am – 7.30pm
    (on Saturday 17 October 2015 the last abseils will be around 3.00pm)
• • Location – 1 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (33 floors)
• • Registrations into the ‘Mission Australia Team – Raising funds for Triple Care Farm will close
    on 1 September 2015 – so don’t miss out on a spot!
• • The team target is to raise more than $10,000 for Triple Care Farm in this year’s
    Abseil for Youth, which is about $1,000 per team member.  All monies from the entire event
    goes to Triple Care Farm, and together with the Sir David Martin Foundation team we’re
    hoping to raise more than $400,000

How to join the ‘Mission Australia Team’:
 

• • Simply click the green 'Join team' button on the right side
• • You will be asked to complete your own registration and pay the registration fee of $150,
    which will be added to the overall team fundraising amount
• • Once the registration fee has been paid you are ready to start fundraising towards your
    individual target of $1,000!  You can do this by sharing your page to ANYONE you know.
    All donations will be allocated to your target (and to the team's overall target) and all monies
    raised will go directly to Triple Care Farm
• • All donations over $2 are tax deductible, your page will automatically take care of all the
    receipts for your generous sponsors for you!

Where your donation goes:
 

Your money (and all that you fundraise) goes directly towards supporting young people through Triple Care Farm, an award-winning rehab program for youth struggling with addiction, homelessness and mental illness.
 

• • $20 - buys a student's art supplies to be used during art therapy
• • $30 - buys an essential toiletries pack for new students, who mostly arrive with nothing
• • $100 - covers weekly accommodation costs for a student
• • $300 - buys a student a Suicide Prevention Counselling session
• • $1500 - buys a scholarship to help a graduate get back to work or study through provision of
    materials, uniforms or payment of course fees
